Salary Amount or Range: $140-$180k DOE plus Health Stipend and PTO, Paid Holidays and Sick days
Children: 7 months and 5 years old

A family in Presidio Heights is seeking a detail-oriented Household Manager/Executive Housekeeper. Responsibilities include inventorying, event planning (children’s classes, activities, parties, etc.), calendar management, household organization, running errands, light cleaning/laundry and occasionally shuttling their children/nanny to activities/school. Their ideal candidate is organized, proactive and comfortable working independently. Someone with a background in hospitality who is a confident decision maker will be the best fit.
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a House Manager with excellent verifiable references
- Background in Hospitality preferred but not required
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated + boosted (family is quite Covid-conscious and provides masks to be worn in the home)
- Valid driver with clean record (family can provide vehicle for work-related driving)
- Gets along well with others
- Works well in multi-staffed home
- Good listener/takes instruction well
- Detail-oriented
- Independent and confident working on a project autonomously
- Background in hospitality is useful – not required but preferable
- Excellent communication skills
- Can make a long-term commitment – at least a year, ideally longer
Responsibilities

Household Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise household staff (chefs, housekeepers, and other personnel) to ensure high standards of service and smooth daily operations.

Household Maintenance:
-
Develop and maintain clear systems for home organization and cleanliness across all areas of the home.

Laundry duties, including hand washing, delicate care, ironing, and coordination with dry cleaning services.

Maintain regular upkeep by managing cleaning schedules and replenishing essential items such as dehumidifiers, fire alarm batteries, dishwasher salt, hand soaps, and other household supplies.

Coordinate and oversee vendor appointments for events, household services, and routine maintenance.

Maintaining and troubleshooting household technology, including iPads and Apple Home devices

Event & Guest Management: Coordinate room setups and oversee guest accommodations for special events and family gatherings.

Requires occasional work on a weekend or after hours

Wardrobe & Personal Care: Manage the care, organization, inventory, and maintenance of wardrobes, accessories, and personal belongings as needed.

Travel Preparation: Oversee packing and unpacking for family trips, ensuring all items are properly prepared and in excellent condition.

Family Assistance:

Assist with booking appointments and researching age-appropriate activities for the children.

Handle errands as needed, including grocery shopping, mail collection, and managing returns.

Curate and wrap thoughtful gifts for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions.

Assist with putting up and removing holiday decor

Plan and organize family vacations and special events.

Assemble small furniture items (stroller, children’s gear).

Assist with driving family and/or dogs to appointments.

Dog Care:

Provide care for two medium-size dogs with confidence as needed, including feeding, taking them outside, going on short walks, or transporting them to the dog sitter in Marin.
