Description

A family in Hillsborough is seeking a family assistant to provide childcare for their 6-year-old twin girls and help with household tasks. Responsibilities include school pick-up, driving to extracurriculars, planning activities, family laundry, light tidying, preparing dinner for the family as well as the girls’ lunches for school the next day, running errands, after-dinner cleanup, and assisting with the bedtime routine.

The best person for them is flexible and willing to stay later into the evening as needed for work dinners and date nights, has excellent communication and organizational skills, with prior experience working in larger / staffed homes. Ultimately they are looking for a career nanny/family assistant who will be with them for years to come!

The preferred schedule is Monday to Friday 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM, but the family could have the FA end at 8 PM so long as they are flexible to stay later as needed.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + ideally current on the booster (or has had a few)
• TB and Tdap current
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family provides a vehicle for work-related driving)
• Enjoys cooking
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized
• Comfortable swimming and supervising the children in the water (family has a pool)
• Confidentiality and discretion
• Comfortable with dogs (family is considering a pet)
• Flexibility to stay later when needed
• Willingness to travel on occasion is a nice-to-have (rarely needed)
• Career nanny/family assistant
• Experience working in larger/staffed homes

Responsibilities

• Finish laundry started by the morning nanny
• Light tidying (family has a cleaning service)
• Cleaning up after dinner
