A family in Noe Valley with two working parents is seeking an organized, Spanish-speaking Family Assistant to help with household tasks and childcare. Their children are 4 and 8 years old, both in school full time, and super sweet! They are involved in a variety of activities including sports, ceramics, piano, and dance. Responsibilities include driving to/from school and activities, engaging in play, teaching the kids Spanish, running errands, light tidying, and cooking (lunches for the kids and simple dinners for the family).

It’s important to find someone with flexibility to stay later as needed as well as a reliable vehile for work-related driving (family reimburses for mileage). The best person for them is calm, structured, and genuinely enjoys supporting busy families!

SCHEDULE: 40 hours guaranteed + flexibility to stay later as needed
Option 1: Monday to Friday 7-10 AM and 3-8 PM split shift
Option 2: Monday to Friday 1 PM – 9 PM

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Spanish required

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated
• Current on TB, Tdap and Flu
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record with reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family reimburses for mileage)
• Flexible – willing to stay later as needed
• Organized
• Calm
• Structured
• Excellent organization
• Warm, loving, engaging
• Flexibility to travel (nice to have)
• Can make at least a year commitment, ideally longer

Responsibilities

• Driving children to/from school and activities
• Help with morning routine: getting the kids ready, fed, and off to school
• Engaging in play
• Teaching/speaking with the children in Spanish
• Light housekeeping (children’s bedrooms, play areas, common areas)
• Organizing kids’ items/household
• Cooking simple healthy dinners for the family or help with meal prep
• Preparing kids’ lunches
• Running errands: grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returning packages, etc.
• Help with bedtime as needed
