Position: Summer Travel Nanny Needed for Infant & Toddler | SF/Nantucket (Short-term Contract)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (flexibility needed to work date nights/evenings approximately 2 x per week)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E.
Children: 1 and 3 year (boys)
Pets: 2 cats at SF residence

Start date: June (for summer contract)

A family in Noe Valley is seeking a travel nanny/educator for their two young boys, ages 1 and 3 years old. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for summer work who would enjoy spending time in Nantucket! The family would like this person to start in June for approximately two weeks in SF and then accompany them to Nantucket through early September at the grandparents’ home (they are flexible to adjust the length of the contract based on candidate’s availability). Responsibilities include all child-related care: planning activities and outings, laundry, light tidying, and preparing meals and snacks.

The family is prioritizing candidates with teaching experience and/or ECE Certification and fluency in English. Accommodations when traveling include a private bedroom.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum related experience with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Must have teaching experience and/or ECE certification

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccination (nice to have but not required)
• TB and Tdap
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)
• Flexibility and willingness to travel within/outside the US
• Must have teaching experience and/or ECE certification

• Comfortable with cats (the cats only reside in SF and do not travel with the family)

Responsibilities

• Actively participate and seek out ways to nurture and promote the children’s development
• Plan age-appropriate activities and outings
• Prepare children’s meals and snacks
• Child laundry
• Assist with developmental/travel transitions (nap schedule, etc.)
• Light tidying (nursery as well as common/play areas)
• Packing for travel
