Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. + flexibility to occasionally stay later if needed
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$40/hour D.O.E.
Children: Baby will be 4-months-old in June
Pets: 2 x medium-size friendly dogs

A family in Menlo Park is seeking a TEMPORARY full-time nanny for their baby boy who will be 4 months old in June. He will be starting day care in September and they are on parental leave until early June so looking for temp care for the summer (likely mid June through end of August).

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities geared towards their son’s development, bottle/meal prep, assisting with developmental transitions (solids, nap schedules, etc.), baby laundry and light housekeeping duties (tidying the nursery and common/play areas, etc.). Their ideal candidate encourages and models good behavior, is upbeat, and proactive.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• Must live within 45 mins or less of Menlo Park
• COVID-vaccinated + boosted
• TB, Tdap vaccines up to date
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record; many activities are within walking distance
• Comfortable with dogs + ability to walk/take care of dogs is preferred
• Prior experience working with children aged 4-months +
• Warm, loving, engaging
• Actively plans activities outdoors
• Sociable; proactively makes play dates
• Comfortable with parent working from home
• Can make a short-term commitment for the summer

Responsibilities

• Actively participate and seek out ways to nurture and promote the child’s development
• Plan age-appropriate activities and outings
• Prepare, wash and sanitize bottles
• Prepare child’s meals and snacks once they transition to solids
• Child laundry
• Assist with developmental/travel transitions (nap schedule, solids, etc.)
• Light tidying (nursery as well as common/play areas)
• Occasional pet care for their two dogs (feed, walk, etc.)
