Description

A lovely, formal estate in Tiburon is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Housekeeper to manage the daily care of a 5-bedroom residence. The principals are an active couple in their 80s who maintain a traditional English country antique aesthetic. This position requires a professional who takes full charge of the home’s cleanliness, organization, laundry, and daily dinner prep assistance, ensuring the estate runs seamlessly.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience caring for fine finishes (marble, antiques, silver), works well independently, and enjoys creating a warm, organized environment for the principals and their visiting family during holidays.

Experience Requirements

3 plus years of experience working in high-end or formal residences

Educational Requirements

Fluency in English, reading and writing

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in the proper care of delicate surfaces, including marble, fine wood, antiques, silver, and China.

• Self-motivated, discrete, highly organized, and physically capable of managing a large multi-bedroom estate.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and comfortable being paid legally

• No pets are in the home. Candidates must be reliable and ready to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily cleanliness, dusting, and organizing of a 5-bedroom home with high end furnishings and antiques.

• Provide specialized care for fine materials, including meticulous upkeep of marble bathroom floors/walls, hardwood flooring, and delicate carpets.

• Execute seasonal deep cleaning projects, including wiping down cabinets, organizing closets, polishing silver, and carefully washing fine China.

• Manage a daily tidy of public rooms and make beds each morning; perform a full change of linens and towels once per week.

Laundress Duties

• Manage all household and personal laundry with a high level of fabric care.

• Coordinate outgoing laundry services (sheets are sent out weekly).

• Handle light, precise ironing for top sheets and pillowcases; very little everyday ironing is required.

Culinary Support

• Assist with daily dinner preparation, including washing, chopping vegetables, and prepping ingredients to streamline the evening meal.

• Ensure the kitchen is kept immaculately clean and organized throughout the day.
