Description
A family in Cole Valley, San Francisco, is seeking an experienced career nanny for a long-term position within a fully staffed household. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, professional team dedicated to providing exceptional care for three wonderful children: a newborn, a happy 1.5-year-old, and an energetic 9-year-old. It’s an ideal role for someone who genuinely loves children of different ages, enjoys working collaboratively, and takes pride in creating a calm, well-run home.
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references
- Previous experience working in UHNW home
- Strong employment history, having worked with one or two families for at least 3 years each
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated + current on booster
- TB, Tdap and flu shot
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record
- Must be very comfortable supervising children in water / strong swimmer (pool/open water – they have a pool and the eldest likes to surf)
- Excellent time management, mature, takes initiative, structure
- Takes direction well from the parents’ and follows their preferences
- Comfortable driving children and has a clean driving
- Able and excited to travel internationally with our family, including up to 10 weeks during the summer as well as school breaks throughout the year
- Warm, dependable, and genuinely enjoys being around
- An excellent communicator who works well as part of a team and appreciates the importance of building trust with parents
- Organized, proactive, and naturally notices what needs to be
- Extensive experience caring for babies and comfortable caring for children at different developmental stages, from newborn through elementary school
- Safety-focused in every aspect of infant and child
- Happy to support the parents with care of the younger children during weekend family
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, nurturing care for the children, with responsibilities varying based on the children’s schedules and ages
- Keeping the younger children’s routines for feeding, nap-time, and park
- School drop-off/pick-ups for the 9-year-old
- Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
- Helping reset the home throughout the day, such as tidying toys, children’s laundry, loading the dishwasher, and keeping things organized, to support our housekeeper and ensure the home stays running smoothly
- Communicating closely with the other nannies to ensure seamless handoffs and continuity of care
