Position: Travel Savvy Nanny for Busy Family in the Mission
Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 7am to 5pm -or- 9am to 7pm (50 hours a week including some weekends)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$43/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (2 weeks PTO) + full health (medical, dental, vision)

Description

A family of 5 is seeking a full-time nanny to help care for their three children (newborn, 2, and 6 years old). The family’s primary residence is in San Francisco, with a secondary residence in Sonoma. This role requires a high degree of flexibility with respect to travel. The family expects to spend 50% of the year outside the Bay Area and the schedule will include a mix of weekday and some weekend days.

Responsibilities include planning developmentally enriching activities (reading, crafts, science, music, art projects), driving the children and accompanying them to activities as needed. This person will partner with another FT nanny to help divide and conquer childcare duties.

Experience Requirements

• 3 years minimum working as a private nanny with verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Has a background in Early Childhood Education
• Has experience with children ages 0-5

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + booster
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record + experience driving children
• Flexibility to travel 50% of the year (housing and a car will be provided while traveling)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and fluid environment
• Comfortable with an informal environment
• Comfortable working in a multi-staffed home
• Comfortable keeping up with children, running up and down stairs and carrying at least 30lbs
• Can-do attitude
• Collaborative; team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive developmentally enriching activities (reading, crafts, science, music, art projects)
• Assist with child-related transportation and accompany them to activities as needed
• Keep toys, books, and other gear/materials organized
• Light child-related housekeeping (laundry, meals, food prep, cleanup)
• Frequent communication with parents and caregivers on developmental updates and planning
• Errands as needed
