Schedule: Monday – Friday 10/11 AM – 5/6 PM plus one weekly date night
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 4 and 7 years old
Pets: 1 x 6-month-old Golden doodle

A family in Hillsborough is seeking an energetic and upbeat Family Assistant to help with childcare and household task. Their girls are 4 and 7 years old and super sweet. Responsibilities include driving the kids from school to extracurriculars, engaging in fun activities, running errands, simple cooking/meal prep for the family as well as preparing kids’ lunches for school, family laundry, and light tidying.

The best person for them is familiar with Hillsborough and all the area has to offer for the girls. Someone with attention to detail, who engaging and a good communicator will be the best fit.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• TB and Tdap current
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record with reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage; it’s also possible they will be able to provide a household car in the future)
• Comfortable with dogs
• Attention to detail – will interact with mom a lot
• Good communication
• Energetic and upbeat
• Engaging
• Prior experience with elementary-age children

Responsibilities

• Childcare for the girls
• Driving to / from school and extracurriculars
• Planning fun, engaging activities
• Running errands
• Grocery shopping
• Meal prep and simple cooking for the family
• Preparing kids’ lunches for school the next day
• Family laundry
• Homework help
• Light tidying (straightening up girls’ rooms, play areas, common spaces, loading/unloading dishwasher, etc.)
