Position: Warm Outgoing Family Assistant Needed in Cole Valley (FILLED)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (30 hours guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + benefits (paid vacation, holidays, sick days)
Children: 10 and 12 year old
Pets: 2 cats

Description

A family in Cole Valley is seeking a fun, engaging Family Assistant to help with childcare and household tasks. They have two children, a 10-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy. Their daughter loves singing (she’s a Taylor Swift fan!), doing art projects and hanging out with the FA. She loves the companionship of their current family assistant and helping/hanging out with them while they cook dinner or fold laundry. Their son is more independent, but very sweet and mellow. He’s involved in basketball and has tutoring a few times a week.

Educational Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working in a private home as a FA with verifiable references

• Valid driver with clean driving record (Family can provide vehicle or reimburse for gas/mileage)

Responsibilities

• Handle school/activity pick-ups and drop-offs
• Manage play dates
• Tidying / straightening up common areas
• Keep kitchen clean and organized (wipe down counters, load/unload dishwasher, sweep floors)
• Order groceries
• Meal plan
• Make simple dinners
• Laundry for family
• Errands on occasion – post office, UPS, etc.
• Occasional overnights / weekends if parents away
