Position: Weekend Nanny Needed for Family in Napa
Schedule: Saturdays 8 AM-8 PM, Sundays 6:30 AM-4 PM and the following holidays: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day (holidays are paid at time and a half)
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$45/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 7-months and 3.5-years old
Pets: 1 large friendly dog

Description
A family in Napa is seeking a positive, engaging Weekend/Holiday Nanny to care for their two young children, ages 7 months (girl) and 3.5 (boy) years old. Responsibilities include working independently or alongside parents in caring for the children, planning and engaging in fun activities, preparing meals and bottles for the children, and light tidying. Candidates must have a reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage) and be a confident swimmer. Their ideal nanny is nurturing, engaging and proactive, as well as reliable.
SCHEDULE:
- Saturday 8 AM – 8 PM
- Sunday 6:30 AM – 4 PM
- Required holidays: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day (schedule will be 8 AM to 8 PM for holidays with some flexibility; nanny will receive time and a half for holidays)
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION? initially prefer not to offer – might be open to if it is difficult to find someone – they have a guest house and additional room but need to revisit this conversation – would def consider for right person if not paying for overnight (no childcare needed)

Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- Must have or be willing to obtain vaccinations including COVID booster, annual flu shots, Tdap, TB and MMR
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage; a household car may soemtimes be available)
- Holiday availability required for: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day (holidays are also paid at time and a half)
- Experience with babies, toddlers, young children, and caring for two siblings together

Responsibilities
- Childcare: supporting nap and bedtime routine, mealtimes, etc.
- Flexibility: comfortable working alongside parents and autonomously as needed
- Engaging in appropriate play-based activities
- Finding fun local things to do for the kids and taking them to activities
- Preparing bottles and meals/snacks for both children
- Feeding the family’s chocolate lab his dinner (walking not needed)
- Light tidying (play areas, children’s rooms, common spaces)
- Children’s laundry as needed
